Perry Stambaugh Announces Candidacy for 86th State House District

Longtime Republican Party leader, champion of rural areas, and dedicated community volunteer Perry Stambaugh today announced he is running for a seat in Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives, serving the 86th State House District.

“From operating our sixth-generation family farm to my career as a rural publication editor, and from my years of service to the Republican Party and local community organizations, I’m ready to take my experience to Harrisburg and represent families and businesses of the 86th District,” Stambaugh said. “I have traveled the Commonwealth and nation covering many of the issues facing Perry and Cumberland counties. I’m prepared to get to work implementing real solutions in Harrisburg to improve the lives of residents in the 86th District and across the state.”

As a member of the General Assembly, Stambaugh said that, “Day in and day out, I’ll be a strong voice for working families. I’ll advocate for economic and tax policies that help entrepreneurs, small businesses and our agribusinesses. I’ll also support efforts that better empower local officials to handle local and regional matters.”

Stambaugh thanked retiring State Representative Mark Keller for his years of distinguished public service, and looks forward “to continuing the great work Mark has done holding the line on taxes, helping strengthen our region’s economy, and advancing conservative values.”

A graduate of Penn State University, Stambaugh resides in Green Park where he operates Green Pastures Farms, a 200-acre family farm. He is a member of the Perry County Bicentennial Committee; Perry County Chamber of Commerce; Perry County Farm Bureau; Perry County Friends of Scouting Breakfast Committee; Madison Grange No. 2064; Tressler Memorial Free Lutheran Church, Loysville; and a life member of the National Rifle Association, Historical Society of Perry County, and The Perry Historians. He is also an Eagle Scout.
