Perry Stambaugh Officially Files to Represent 86th State House District
GREEN PARK, PA (Feb. 19, 2020) – Perry County native, endorsed Republican, and champion for rural areas Perry Stambaugh has formally filed nomination petitions to represent Pennsylvania’s 86th State House District.
“Since announcing my candidacy at the end of December, it’s been an awesome experience these past seven weeks meeting and speaking with residents across the 86th District,” Stambaugh said. “Nearly everywhere I travel I hear comments on reducing our tax burden, eliminating property taxes and helping to keep President Trump’s economy growing—three goals I’m fully committed to achieving. With our formal nomination filing, I thank our many petition circulators and hundreds of residents for their strong support!”
Perry Stambaugh is the sixth-generation owner/operator of Green Pastures Farms, a family farm in Green Park, Perry County. He is a dedicated community volunteer and longtime rural advocate who spent much of his career as a rural publication editor.
“As state representative, I’ll oppose Democratic efforts in Harrisburg to increase spending, raise taxes, and/or burden our children and grandchildren with higher debt from short-sighted borrowing,” Stambaugh said. “With America’s booming economy there should be no revenue problem in Harrisburg, we just suffer from a persistent spending problem.”
Stambaugh’s platform includes strongly supporting personal liberty and reducing regulations, protecting the Second Amendment, defending the unborn, helping our agribusinesses prosper, strengthening our emergency services, increasing access to high-speed internet and retaining our talented young people.
