“Republican Veterans to Elect Perry Stambaugh” Coalition
Retired Vice Admiral, former state Representative, Help Launch “Republican Veterans to Elect Perry Stambaugh” Coalition
GREEN PARK, PA (March 9, 2020) – Perry Stambaugh, Republican candidate for the 86th State House District, today announced the launch of the “Republican Veterans to Elect Perry Stambaugh” coalition and its charter members. Co-chairing the coalition are Vice Admiral Edward M. Straw of Marysville, U.S. Navy (Retired), and Technical Sergeant/E6 John W. Stokes of Loysville, United States Air Force (Retired).
Also joining the coalition as a charter member is former state Rep. C. Allan Egolf of Landisburg, a retired Air Force colonel who served Perry and Cumberland counties in the Pennsylvania State House from 1993-2005.
VADM Straw had a distinguished 30-plus-year career in the U.S. Navy and retired as a three-star admiral. TSgt Stokes retired from the United States Air Force after more than 20 years of service.
“Perry Stambaugh will be an excellent voice in Harrisburg for Cumberland and Perry county veterans and military families,” Stokes said. “Perry is a man of his word and a man of action. We can trust Perry to be accessible and stand-up for the welfare of the Commonwealth’s veterans.”
Pennsylvania has the nation’s fourth highest veteran population, including an estimated 23,000 veterans residing in Cumberland and Perry counties alone.
“As state representative, serving our veterans will be one of my highest priorities,” Stambaugh said. “I will work with my coalition and all veterans’ organizations to ensure that those who’ve fought for our freedoms have access to all the services state government can provide. I’m grateful to the veterans spearheading our new coalition for their advice and suggestions on how we can better take care of those who’ve given so much to our country, and to continually honor those who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice.”
In addition to Co-Chairmen VADM Straw and Stokes, and former Rep. Egolf, additional charter members of Republican Veterans to Elect Perry Stambaugh include:
Dennis Collier, U.S. Navy, Duncannon.
Stephen Copp, U.S. Army, Marysville.
David W. Harvath, U.S.M.C., Duncannon.
Ralph Turner, U.S. Navy, Marysville.
Henry Hoffman, Jr., U.S.M.C.
